The service will include remembrances from family and friends, hymns selected in Winnie’s honor and will conclude with the Celebration of the Holy Eucharist using one of the prayers that Winnie edited.

A reception will be held following the service in our parish hall.

A limited number of speakers will be permitted, but if you would like to speak, please contact the Rector at St. David’s.

Music is an important part of the worship life at St. David’s.  We welcome and encourage those who are so inclined to join us!

ADULT CHOIR - This group currently consists of about 18 singers from high school through adult ages.  It generally sings SATB anthems twice monthly (2nd & 4th Sundays September through May) as well as for special occasions such as Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday, Easter.  The adult choir helps to lead the 10:45 am service and rehearses on Thursdays at 7:00 pm.

HANDCHIMES - The three-octave set of handchimes are played by about 10 people usually once monthly as well as on special occasions.  This choir usually plays the prelude and offertory during the 3rd Sunday 10:45 am service and rehearses at 6:00 pm on Thursdays.

CONTEMPORARY GROUP - This faithful group participates each week at the 9:00 am Sunday service.  There are presently four singers as well as those who play guitar, drums, congas, and keyboard.  They perform pieces from the top 100 contemporary Christian list generally composed within the last decade.  The group rehearses Tuesdays at 5:45 pm and Saturdays at 11:00 am.

LITURGICAL DANCE -  The participants in this group prepare for  festival Sundays and vary in age from middle-school through adult.  They have a heart for interpretive movement and come from all backgrounds of formal dance training to none at all.  This is a fairly new group which rehearses on specific Sundays after the 10:45 am service.

During the SUMMER St. David’s tries to feature talent within the congregation while our regular choirs take a break.  We therefore enjoy a variety of vocal and instrumental solos, duets, and ensembles.  Occasionally musical guests also participate.

With the rebuilt WOLFF ORGAN, we will be inviting recitalists to showcase the instrument.  Dedicated in November of 2009, along with the new building, this 27-stop tracker organ was originally built for St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church in Wilton, Connecticut.  It was bought by St. David’s in 2007 and taken to Hellmuth Wolff’s shop in Canada where it was renovated and updated.

Last Saturday, the combined youth group spent a few hours at the Sports Center  on SW 10th street. They played mini-golf and drove go-carts. A good time was had by all.  The next youth group event is a Senior Youth Group lock-in on Saturday, August 28th.
