The Inreach Ministry's mission is to insure that parishioners have opportunities to care for one another, share with each other and continue their spiritual journey. They offer several programs, including adult christian education, Sunday breakfast, bible Study, gatherings for six, seven or eight, Daughters of the King, Education for Ministry, Lenten soup suppers, men's study group, parish life, and our parish communications: the weekly Around the Table and monthly Messenger. Adult Christian Education
This group meets during the regualar school year on Sundays with varying topics.
Sunday Breakfast (Leads: Spencer Duncan, Steve Crowl)
A full hot breakfast, including eggs, hash browns, sausage, bacon, breakfast pizza, breakfast burritos, biscuits and gravy, cereal, toast, and pop-tarts is served most Sundays from 8:30 A.M. through 10:15 A.M.
Bible Study (Lead: Linda Martin)
This group meets every Tuesday at noon in the conference room for fellowship and Bible study.
Gatherings for Six, Seven or Eight (Lead: Amy DuPuis)
These are dinners that are held at various times. Participants will host one gathering either in their home or elsewhere and the host will contact group members to arrange the time and event. Currently, this is planned for January - April (other dates may be added). Please contact Amy Dupuis or Bev Carlson for more information.
Education for Ministry (EfM) (Facilitators: Lynda Crowl and Earl Olson)
EfM is a four-year program in theological reflection based upon small-group study and practice. EfM helps the faithful encounter the breadth and depth of the Christian tradition and bring it into conversation with their experiences of the world as they study,worship, and engage in theological reflection together.
Men's Study Group (Lead: Lynn Thompson)
This group meets every Thursday morning at about 7:00 A.M. for study of scripture and other studies, along with plain old good fellowship.
Parish Life (Lead: Barb Waters)
Parish Life seeks to engage the members of the Parish. They help put on our Lenten soup supper programs, various lunches and dinners, a yearly Holiday Bazaar, and many other programs!
Visitor Follow-Up/Mentor (Lead: VACANT)
Point of contact for visitors or new members of the parish to speak with regarding parish activities, parish life, opportunities, or just somebody where questions can be directed.
Around the Table (ATT)
This is our weekly bulletin containing upcoming events, announcements, and parish news. Submissions must be made by noon every Wednesday and are made by sending an email to att [at] stdavidschurch [dot] com.
The Messenger
The Messenger is our monthly newsletter. It is an electonic newsletter, although a limited number are available in the office. If you cannot get to the church, it may be mailed by contacting the office at office [at] stdavidschurch [dot] com or calling 785-272-5144. Submissions can be sent by the 20th of each month to the editor by emailing messenger [at] stdavidschurch [dot] com.
